Penn State Altoona men's soccer head coach Patrick "Moe" Taylor is hosting two summer camps this June on campus.

First is the Penn State Altoona Soccer Day Camp. This session is open to kids from ages 5-15. It will be held on June 18-22 from 9:00 AM to 12 noon each day. Participants will learn various techniques of the game through drills and examples, including ball control, trapping, kicking, heading, and passing. Emphasis will be placed on understanding soccer rules, terminology, and ability to correct errors. This camp costs $99 per participant.

The second camp is the Penn State Altoona Residential Soccer Camp. This camp is held from June 26-28 and is open to boys in grade 10 and above. It offers high school students a fun and exciting way to build and enhance their skills. The camp is aimed at experienced soccer players interested in continuing their soccer career beyond high school. The campers will receive professional advice from collegiate-level coaches.

This three-day, overnight training camp will help the participants improve their abilities and fitness levels for the upcoming soccer season. The campers will experience sessions similar to those of preseason men's soccer at Penn State Altoona. In the evenings, they will play short and full-sided games under the lights at Penn State Altoona's Spring Run Stadium.

Check-in for this camp is on June 26 from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM, and check-out occurs on June 28 at 6:00 PM. The participation fee is $199, which includes food, air conditioned housing, and a camp t-shirt.

To register, or for more information on these camps, please contact Penn State Altoona's Office of Continuing Education at 814-949-5535.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona men's soccer team had five of its players voted to the 2011 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference Team on Tuesday.

Sophomore defender Sam Aumiller (New Cumberland, PA/Red Land) earned a slot on the first team. Aumiller contributed offensively and defensively, scoring two goals with three assists while also proving to be solid in his own end of the field.

Named to the second team were a trio of freshmen: forwards Brandon Arvey (Harrisburg, PA/Red Land) and Mike Robinson (Lansdale, PA/North Penn) and midfielder Justin Su Kwak (Lansdale, PA/North Penn).

Arvey ranked seventh in the AMCC in goals scored with nine. He had a penchant for coming up with a goal in big situations, including scoring three game-winners.

Robinson finished with eight goals, tying him for eighth in the conference in that category. He also added a pair of assists.

Kwak emerged as a relentless two-way player who persistently fought for possession of the ball and gave opponents trouble in the middle of the field.

Junior midfielder Garrett Storm (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) took third team status. He was an important part in the Lions system, and he notched one goal and one assist.
